Philip Knight
Minister
Rev. Philip Knight has been the minister at St Mark’s since 2020. Previous to that he was in the diocese of North West Australia for 14 years and in the Sydney diocese for 9 years. He studied at Sydney Missionary & Bible College.
Philip’s desire is to help God’s people grow to maturity and to reach out to others with the gospel. He loves to meet up for prayer, reading the Bible and a chat.
Philip and his wife, Elke, met in England while both volunteering at Ashburnham Christian Trust, just five miles from Battle, East Sussex. They have been married since 1994 and have two daughters, Bella & Lilly.
In his spare time you will find Philip on his gravel bike, watching NRL, eating ice cream and looking for the best hot chocolate in Melbourne.
Angela
Chandler
Children & Families
Angela Chandler attended St Mark’s as a child. Some years later, she returned to St Mark’s with her husband and young family.
Angela studied music at the University of Melbourne, and has also studied at Ridley College and Melbourne School of Theology.
She has always been involved in children’s and music ministries.
Since 2016, Angela has combined her work as a musician with the part-time role of Children and Families’ worker at St Mark’s.
Angela loves to see connections built across generations, and to use creative and fun ways to share the gospel and help kids grow up with Jesus.
